Read our full guide: Mefenamic acid and paracetamol: uses, dose and brands
Tablets under the name Mefomol P Tablet come from Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division. Every tablet carries Mefenamic Acid 500mg together with Paracetamol 325mg. The product falls in the analgesic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID) class and is packed as 10x2x10 (Blister).
The mefenamic acid in the tablet lowers prostaglandin levels in the tissues, which helps to ease pain and swelling. Paracetamol relieves minor aches and pains and reduces fever. Together, each ingredient does its own job to handle pain from different directions.
These tablets are used for mild to moderate pain and for primary dysmenorrhea (period pain), and may be used for headache, toothache and muscular aches. NSAIDs raise the risk of heart attack or stroke and of bleeding, ulcer or perforation in the stomach or intestine, and too much paracetamol can cause severe liver damage, so no other paracetamol-containing medicine should be taken.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
