Mefojem P Tablet contains mefenamic acid 500 mg and paracetamol 325 mg to ease pain, aches and menstrual cramps. Main uses: relief of mild to moderate pain; primary dysmenorrhea (period pain); headache and toothache; muscular aches and body aches; menstrual and premenstrual cramps.

Common side effects of Mefojem P Tablet include nausea or vomiting; abdominal pain; indigestion, heartburn or gas; constipation or diarrhoea; dizziness or headache; rash or itching. Get medical help at once if you notice bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestines; heart attack or stroke; severe skin reactions with blisters or reddening.

Each Mefojem P tablet contains Mefenamic Acid 500 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Mefojem P Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Its two ingredients work through separate routes. Mefenamic acid curbs prostaglandin production in the tissues, so pain signals and swelling ease off. Paracetamol relieves minor aches and pains and reduces fever. The combined effect is relief from pain and feverish discomfort.

Must not be used by patients allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol or any component of the tablet. Must not be used by patients who have had asthma, urticaria or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Must not be used in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Must not be used together with any other medicine that contains paracetamol. Check with a doctor first if you have liver disease, are taking warfarin, drink alcohol daily, or are breastfeeding. In pregnancy it must be avoided from 20 weeks unless a doctor specifically advises it, and must not be used from 30 weeks.
