About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Tablets from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division, Jempoglim M2 provides Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 500 mg in each tablet. It is placed in the anti-diabetic class and is packed as 10x15 (Blister).

How it works

Glimepiride in the tablet prompts the pancreas to release more insulin, so sugar from the blood moves into the body's cells. Metformin helps by lowering the sugar released by the liver and by making the body's own insulin work well. Using both ingredients together supports steadier blood sugar levels during the day.

Used for

The tablets are meant for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, used along with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control. Both serious risks should be kept in mind: glimepiride may cause severe low blood sugar with shakiness, sweating, dizziness or confusion, and metformin may very rarely cause lactic acidosis with weakness, muscle pain, breathing difficulty, sleepiness or abdominal pain.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
