About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Viglim M 2/850 is an oral anti-diabetic tablet from Vibcare Pharma's oral anti-diabetic range. Each tablet contains Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 850 mg, a sulfonylurea and biguanide combination. It is supplied as tablets and packed as 10x15 (Blister).
The two ingredients work in different ways to lower blood sugar. Glimepiride acts on the pancreas to stimulate the release of insulin, so more insulin is available to take sugar out of the blood. Metformin belongs to the biguanide class and reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver while helping the body use its own insulin. Together they improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Viglim M 2/850 is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes when blood sugar is not controlled by diet and exercise.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
