Description

Fexovib AM is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Every tablet carries Acebrophylline 200 mg, Fexofenadine 120 mg and Montelukast Sodium 10 mg. This is a combination of an antihistamine, a leukotriene blocker and a mucus-loosening airway relaxant. The tablets are packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).

How it works

In the tablet, Acebrophylline loosens thick mucus in the airways and relaxes airway muscles so breathing becomes easier. Fexofenadine blocks histamine, the chemical behind sneezing, itching and a runny nose. Montelukast Sodium blocks leukotrienes, which cause swelling and tightening of the airways during asthma and allergy.

Used for

Fexovib AM is used for relief of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes - here the montelukast part is meant for patients who do not respond to or cannot tolerate other treatments - along with long-term management of asthma and loosening of mucus in the airways.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
