Thyrovib 25 tablets supply Thyroxine 25 mcg to replace thyroid hormone when the body makes too little of it. Main uses: hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) in adults and children; thyroid hormone replacement when the thyroid gland is removed or damaged by treatment; congenital hypothyroidism (low thyroid function present from birth); low thyroid function from long-standing thyroid disease.

Common side effects of Thyrovib 25 Tablet include palpitations or rapid heartbeat; tremor of the hands; unwanted weight loss; heat intolerance and sweating; nervousness or trouble sleeping; loose motions. Get medical help at once if you notice chest pain or irregular heartbeat; severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling or breathlessness; adrenal crisis in people whose adrenal glands are not working and this has not been corrected.

This tablet works by adding back the thyroid hormone that the body is not producing enough of on its own. Must not be used in people with untreated overactive thyroid (thyrotoxicosis). Must not be used during or just after a heart attack. Must not be used if the adrenal glands are not working and this has not been corrected with steroid treatment.
