About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Fluega 200 is an oral tablet made by Vibcare Pharma. It contains Fluconazole 200mg as its active substance. The tablet belongs to the anti-fungal group of medicines and comes packed as 10x5x2 (Blister). Fluega 200 is offered from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

Fluconazole, the substance in this tablet, is an azole anti-fungal. It disrupts the formation of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane. As the fungus is deprived of ergosterol its growth is halted, which helps the body bring the infection under control.

Used for

Doctors prescribe Fluega 200 for conditions such as vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis, cryptococcal meningitis and systemic Candida infections like candidemia, as well as Candida infections of the urinary tract and peritoneum. Coadministration with drugs that prolong the QT interval and are metabolised by CYP3A4, such as erythromycin, pimozide or quinidine, is contraindicated.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
