Description

Cefdojem 100 is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Cefpodoxime 100 mg, an antibiotic of the cephalosporin group (Antibacterial). It is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.

How it works

Cefpodoxime acts on the outer wall that bacteria need to hold their shape and multiply. Without a properly built cell wall, the susceptible bacteria break up and stop spreading, so the body can clear the infection. This tablet supplies the 100 mg strength of that single active ingredient.

Used for

This medicine is used for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria, such as acute otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. If diarrhoea becomes severe or does not stop, contact a doctor at once, as it may be a C. difficile-associated colitis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
