About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Eptovib is a brand name from Vibcare Pharma's Mind division. It is supplied as tablets that contain Phenytoin 100 mg, and belongs to the anti-seizure (anticonvulsant) class of medicines, the hydantoin group. The product is packed as 1's.

How it works

Inside the tablet, Phenytoin acts on the nerve cells in the brain. It blocks sodium channels on the nerve cell membrane, which limits the repeated high-frequency electrical firing that sets off a seizure. The exact way it works is not fully established, but this action on sodium channels is thought to be the main one.

Used for

Eptovib tablets are used for generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, complex partial (psychomotor, temporal lobe) seizures, and for prevention and treatment of seizures that occur during or after neurosurgery.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
